NEW FEARS ist eine Galerie für Performance und Transdisziplinarität in Berlin-Wedding, die in Berlin ansässige und internationale Künstler:innen vertritt.
Für jede Episode lädt NEW FEARS zwei Künstler:innen zu einer Residency in Berlin
ein, die in einer öffentlichen Veranstaltung endet. Der Prozess wird von Autor:innen begleitet, die ein Manifest publizieren, das auf der bevorstehenden Veranstaltung vorgestellt wird. Bisher existieren #9 Episoden.

These try-outs should be understood not in abstract terms, but in the light of the current struggles with labor, housing, racism, homophobia, and anti-fascist positions. If politicians can facilitate these processes for us to work, that would be great. We would wish that the situation wouldn’t look as somber but reality is also knocking on the door of the art sphere. Can politicians regulate the price for studios and project spaces? Can they facilitate real financial support for diversity? Can they push a little bit further and understand the complex situation of art practitioners during and after the pandemic, and give some more support?Verwertungslogik und Karrieredenken unter den „alternativen“ Projekten haben zugenommen, neue Strategien nähern sich eher dem Markt an, statt eine alternative Arbeitsweise zu verkörpern/zu leben, damit stirbt ein großes Stück der „alten“ Einstellungen und Haltungen und auch ein großes Stück des experimentellen Berlins. Optimistisch betrachtet: Immer wieder Lücken nutzen und das Unmögliche machen und leben.Delegate. Delegate. Delegate. It is absolutely necessary to delegate bureaucratic paperwork to those who are professionally trained in these tasks. Running a project space with all its paperwork baggage is taking a toll on creative output: it slows us down. However, we cannot get away from this bureaucratic burden since we lack the financial resources for professional assistance in these matters.
