Centrum ist ein Projektraum für zeitgenössische Kunst in Neukölln. In einem Laden-
geschäft und ehemaligen Bordell zu Hause ist der Ausstellungsraum kein reiner White Cube, sondern erhält seinen Charakter vor allem durch seinen gefliesten Boden und seine bodenlangen Fenster. Centrum bietet Möglichkeiten zum Diskurs über zeitgenössische Kunst sowie Gelegenheit zum Kennenlernen, Vernetzen und Experimentieren. Centrum wurde 2009 gegründet. Seitdem wird das Programm und der Schwerpunkt von einem wechselnden Team beeinflusst. Derzeit wird Centrum von Rachel Monosov & Jorgina Stamogianni ko-kuratiert.

Wenn die Stadt verkauft ist, erübrigen sich alle weiteren Fragen.Delegate. Delegate. Delegate. It is absolutely necessary to delegate bureaucratic paperwork to those who are professionally trained in these tasks. Running a project space with all its paperwork baggage is taking a toll on creative output: it slows us down. However, we cannot get away from this bureaucratic burden since we lack the financial resources for professional assistance in these matters.There is probably no ideal project space, and that is exactly what is ideal about this format; the openness and the freedom that allows it to take any shape and direction. Project spaces are versatile structures that can be morphed in many different ways, reflecting the circumstances and the people that are part of the process. To us, a project space is a kind of utopia, although there is no fixed ­concept of an ideal project space. Project spaces are very much constantly evolving, changing, and adapting.
